CORBIN — The Corbin girls’ tennis team put in one heck of a week, posting a 5-1 mark which included going 2-0 in a tri-match with George Rogers Clark and Bourbon County.
“It’s been an incredibly long and hard week,” Corbin coach Chris Jones said. “At this point in the season, you’re always dealing with a few injuries and we’re dealing some illness as well, but overall I’m proud of the effort. Our girls step up and play whatever we need them to play and they always give it their all.
“We had our senior night celebration this week and our three senior girls have really had a big week,” he added. “Lindsay and Katie got big wins over Clay in our region and a very good GRC team out of region, while Olivia went 4-0 in singles this week.”
