LEXINGTON — The run of slow starts continues for Cody Philpot’s Corbin Redhounds, and this time they couldn’t overcome the deficit they faced after five innings.
The Redhounds (3-2) trailed 8-1 after five innings of play before attempting to rally, but in the end fell, 8-5.
Cam Estep finished with two hits and two runs scored while Noah Cima had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Jaden Broughton was 1-for-3 with two RBI while Clay Botner collected a hit, and an RBI, and scored once.
Will Freeman pitched three innings, allowing four hits and five earned runs while striking out a batter. Hunter Todd pitched three innings, surrendering five hits and two earned runs while striking out four batters.
