CORBIN — Tony Pietrowski’s Corbin Redhounds capped regular season play off in fine fashion, defeating Middlesboro at home, 97-34.
The Redhounds (18-9) sprinted out of the game with a 21-3 lead and never looked back in the 63-point victory.
“Good win for us tonight,” Corbin coach Tony Pietrowski said. “We got to celebrate three outstanding seniors, and get some minutes for guys that have put in a lot of work behind and the scenes as well. Proud of my guys for remaining unselfish and disciplined. We need three excellent days of preparation has we head into Tuesday night.”
Corbin had leads of 52-15 at halftime, and 73-32 entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Yellow Jackets, 24-2, during the final eight minutes.
Thirteen players scored in the Redhounds’ win, including Evan Ellis, who led the way with 20 points. Connor Middleton added 18 points while Dawson Farmer finished with 12 points.
