Lynn Camp runs win streak to season-best three games

CORBIN — Don’t look now buy Dinky Phipps’ Lynn Camp Wildcats are hitting stride at the right time.

The Wildcats (7-21) captured their third win in a row on Friday, defeating Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, 62-48.

Lynn Camp entered last week with only four wins but almost matched that while going 3-0 this past week, which includes a last second win over Middlesboro.

Phipps’ squad turned in a stellar defensive effort, limiting its opponent to only eight points in the first quarter while leading by four points going into the second quarter.

Lynn Camp outscored Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, 15-13, to take a 27-21 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Wildcats led 44-30 entering the fourth quarter and secured the win by holding off any rally in the final eight minutes.

Conner Mabe led Lynn Camp with 17 points while Eisen Mayo and Ethen Chafin scored 10 points apiece.
