LONDON — North Laurel got back on track after suffering a loss to Corbin on Friday by dominating visiting Lafayette less than 24 hours later.
The Jaguars improved to 16-9 after an 86-33 win over the Generals.
“Today was a good bounce back win after a disappointing loss last night,” North Laurel coach Nate Valentine said. “I like the way our guys responded. We can’t afford to take any more steps backwards. I still really believe this team can do something special.”
North Laurel dominated from the get-go, taking a 24-12 lead in the first quarter as Reece Davidson scored 11 points while RJ Noble added four points.
Jordan Rawlings hit three 3-pointers in the second quarter while Davidson added eight points, and Noble added five points to give the Jaguars a 50-18 cushion at halftime.
Davidson dominated in the third quarter, scoring 13 points to help push North Laurel’s advantage to 73-24 with eight minutes remaining.
Davidson led all scorers with 32 points while Rawlings hit five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Noble added 11 points while senior Kole Jervis scored 11 points on Senior Night.
