‘Complete team effort’ leads to Lynn Camp’s 59-28 win over Oneida Baptist

CORBIN — “A complete team effort.”

That’s how Lynn Camp coach James Prewitt summed up his Lady Wildcats’ 59-28 win over Oneida Baptist on Friday.

Led by Lauren Partin’s 22-point scoring effort, the Lady Wildcats improved to 7-13 while the Lady Mountaineers fell to 2-15.

Jayden Petrey added 10 points for Lynn Camp while Lillian Henize finished with nine points and Madison Weymers added eight points.

Bailey Barstow led Oneida Baptist with 19 points.

“Everyone got to play and contribute,” Prewitt said. “We played pretty well defensively tonight and we did a better job taking care of the ball.”

“OBI has a couple of really nice players,” he added. “Their point guard Carpenter is really solid with the ball, and they have a transfer, Barstow, who is a really athletic and solid basketball player.”

“Lauren Partin had another solid effort with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Madison Weymers, Lillian Henize, and Jayden Petrey had eight, nine, and 10, respectively. We travel tomorrow to McCreary Central. We play early, so there isn’t any time to relax. We play JV at 1 p.m. and varsity after.”
