Colonels take care of business, cruise during first round action of Battle in the Village Tournament

MARYVILLE, TENN. — Whitley County was in cruise control during most of its first round game of the Battle in the Village Tournament on Thursday.

The Colonels handed Clayton-Bradley Academy an 86-35 loss as five players scored in double figures.

“Good start to the tourney for our guys,” Swords said. “Great to get all our guys some PT. Quick turnaround tomorrow as we will play at noon vs Oneida, Tennessee. Next two games should be a good test for us.”

Riley Fuson led Whitley County with 14 points while Bryson Mason and Levi Jackson added 13 points apiece. Tucker Hale chipped in 11 points in the win while Aaron Rowe finished with 10 points.
