Corbin girls’ golf team continues impressive play

CORBIN — The Corbin Lady Redhound golf team turned in another stellar effort while going up against Harlan County.

The Lady Black Bears didn’t have enough golfers to qualify for a team match with Corbin but the Lady Redhounds still managed to take home the top two individual spots with Hannah Perry placing first with a 41 while Kaylyn Watkins shot a 47 to finish second. Allison Bonham shot a 54 while Brooke Kfoury (59), Mackenzie Hutton (63), and Xandria Beller (67) followed.

We played really well despite being the only team playing,” Corbin coach Danielle Hardin said. “The whole team is starting to click and we are playing some really good golf right now. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings.”
