DIXON LAW OFFICE PRESENTS GIRLS’ GAME OF THE WEEK: South Laurel vs. Bell County 

Two of the best girls’ teams in the 13th Region will meet during Saturday’s Roy Bowling Classic when Bell County and South Laurel tops-off against one another.
The Lady Cardinals have won the past three meetings between the two teams with David Teague’s squad last defeating South Laurel on Feb. 23, 2021.
As of Wednesday, the Lady Cardinals possess a 12-8 overall record and a 5-2 mark against regional opponents.
Bell County, on the otherhand, is riding a two-game losing skid while entering the game with a 11-7 record and a 5-2 mark against 13th Region teams.
The Lady Cardinals have won the last three meetings between the two teams while also winning five of the last six against Bell County.
Before that, the Lady Bobcats reeled eight wins in a row over South Laurel.
The Lady Cardinals began a streak of 10 wins against Bell County from Jan. 14, 1999 to Jan. 15, 2008.
Shelbie Mills leads South Laurel in scoring with a 16.9 scoring average while Maci Messer averages 13.5 points per game and Peyton Mabe averages 13.1 points per game.
Mabe leads the Lady Cardinals with a 4.8 rebounding average while Jamie Buenaventura follows at 4.3 boards per game. Aubrey Bundy is averaging 3.9 rebounds per game.
Gracie Jo Wilder leads Bell County with a 24.4 point scoring average while Lauren McGeorge follows at 15.2 points per game and Kairi Lamb is averaging 12.0 points per game. 
Lamb leads Bell County with a 12.7 rebounding average while Kyler Gann-Greer is averaging 8.2 rebounds per game. Wilder pulls down 6.4 rebounds per game.
