HAZARD — The Knox County 7U All-Stars is state tournament bound, defeating Corbin, 16-11, to capture the District 4 championship.
Tremayne James had an impressive performance, going 2-for-4 with both a single and triple, and scoring two runs. Spencer Sandborn also had a perfect game, going 3-for-3 and scoring two runs.
Miles Moses contributed to the team’s success, going 2-for-4 and scoring two runs. Colin Smith had an outstanding game, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and scoring two runs. Blevin Priest also had a great game, going 3-for-4 with a triple and scoring three runs.
Griffin Butler, Logan Gibson, Asher Wynn, Ashton Smith, and Remington Stamper all had solid performances, each going 2-for-3 and scoring at least one run. Luca Shaw also contributed to the team’s success, going 1-for-3 and scoring a run.
