The Green Dragons are red-hot, coming off an impressive run in the WYMT Mountain Classic that saw them capture their first-ever Mountain Classic title. They\u2019ll be tested tonight when they travel to play Pikeville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Harlan County (4-1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Black Bears have been playing really well despite their setback to Perry Central. Harlan County remains as one of the frontrunners to win the 13th Region crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Corbin (1-0)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Redhounds are rolling out of the gate despite almost off of their players practicing sparingly due to the football team\u2019s run to the Class 4A state title game. We wouldn\u2019t be surprised at all to see Corbin win the 13th Region crown this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. South Laurel (2-2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cardinals held their own against North Laurel this past week thanks to a solid defensive effort. They rebounded a few days later to pick up an impressive win over Lynn Camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Williamsburg (4-0)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is any team hotter than Anthony Hibbard\u2019s Yellow Jackets? Williamsburg is averaging a 13th Region-best 96.5 points per game while possessing one of the best players in the region in Jerrod Roark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Whitley County (3-1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric Swords has done a fantastic job with the Colonels so far this young season. Whitley County will be a tough team to beat this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8. Barbourville (2-2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach Chris Taylor\u2019s squad has come out of the gates with some inconsistent play but they\u2019ll get better as the season progresses. This team is a key to keep an eye on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9. Bell County (1-2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bobcats lost a lot of talent from last season\u2019s squad but coach Brad Sizemore will have his team ready to play no matter who they are playing. The key to Bell County\u2019s success is keeping Dawson Woolum healthy. He\u2019s one of the top scorers in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10. Clay County (2-2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tigers have looked good at times, but then again, you can\u2019t forget last Friday\u2019s lo Boyle County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
