<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Bell County wrestling turned in another solid effort this past weekend, advancing to the finals of the Jessamine County Duals before falling to Tate\u2019s Creek \u2018A\u2019, 45-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bobcats posted a 3-0 mark in pool play, defeating Tates Crewk \u2018B\u2019, 66-12, Danville, 60-18, and East Jessamine, 60-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During tournament action, Bell County defeated Harkan County, who placed fourth overall, 73-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bobcats had four wrestlers who recorded wins in all five duals. Hayden Canady, who defeated a ranked wrestler from Danville, Richard Norris, by pinning him in 1:50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Canady was 5-0 on the day. Ethan Raby was 5-0, finishing with four pins on the day. He had the fastest pin of the day for Bell County, pinning his opponent from Tates Creek in 12 seconds. Matthew Dowlin also went 5-0 with four pins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jordan Muncy had an impressive day going 5-0 and pinning student-athletes from Harlan County, Tates Creek A and East Jessamine. Many other wrestlers turned in outstanding performances, according to Bobcat coach Ovie Canady. Isaiah Troutman, Milka Woodring and Matthew Howard all contributed with four victories. Alexis Holman was 4-0 with one pin in the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was very proud of how our kids fought all day. We met at 5 a.m. to leave,\u201d Canady said. \u201cWe wrestled all day on the road. We were tired and beaten up but we kept fighting. The kids were very resilient Saturday only losing to a 6A school in the final round.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
