Corbin continued to dominate against Letcher Central last Friday. The Cougars entered the contest averaging more then 43 points per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who\u2019s next? Johnson Central pats a visit to Campbell Field. The Eagles are 2-0 all-time against Corbin. The winner moves on to the Class 4A, Region 4 title game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Bell County (10-2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bobcats wasted little time dominating Fleming County while pulling out a 47-6 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dawson Woolum had a huge game, rushing for 143 yards and five touchdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bell County totaled 333 rushing yards on the ground during the 41-point victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who\u2019s next? The Bobcats will be home with Ashland (8-4) paying a visit to Log Mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. North Laurel (6-6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Jaguars had high expectations entering the season but just can\u2019t get over the hump against Southwestern and Pulaski County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are now 4-10 all-time against the Warriors and have lost four consecutive games against them while dropping 11 games in a row against Pulaski County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Until they find a way to beat those two teams, it\u2019s gonna be hard to A. Win the district, and B. Host a home playoff game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Williamsburg (7-3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Yellow Jackets picked the worst time to be shutout for the first time in 88 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Williamsburg could get anything going during its 29-0 loss at home against Hazard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jerry Herron\u2019s squad had a good season, winning its seventh consecutive district title but we were expecting another trip to the region finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Middlesboro (8-3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Yellow Jackets\u2019 run to repeat as region champions came to an end after a 28-21 heartbreaker to Shelby Valley last Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Middlesboro had a heck of a season behind the play of quarterback Cayden Grisgby and wide out Kameron Wilson, just to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Harlan (8-4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Greed Dragons ran into a Pikeville team that will more than likely repeat as state champions. Harlan held its own but just could y pull off the upset win,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The loss doesn\u2019t take away from an impressive season Harlan had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Clay County (7-4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tigers were fun to watch this past season. Their offensive attack was one of the best in the 13th Region, and mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tate Rice showed that\u2019s he\u2019s also one of the best signal callers around as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8. Harlan County (4-7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Black Bears had some big wins this season but just could catch fire when they needed, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their players gave 110 percent effort and turned in a solid season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9. Knox Central (5-6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Injuries hurt Knox Central this season. The Panthers started the season strong but was just outmanned by the time the end of the season ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach Buckner and his players fought hard while Knox Central possessed one of the best players in the state in Steven Partin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
