North Laurel\u2019s season came to an end after seeing Southwestern score three touchdowns during the second quarter of Friday\u2019s second round action of the Class 5A playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars finished the season with a 6-6 mark after dropping a 35-7 decision to the Warriors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southwestern outgained North Laurel in total yardage, 355-133, with 270 yards coming on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams had a defensive battle in the first quarter before Southwestern took a 7-0 lead behind a one-yard touchdown run by Christian Walden with 7:56 left in the first half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walden\u2019s touchdown woke up the Warriors offense and defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braxton Walter scored on a 21-yard run while the ensuing squib kick led to Southwestern recovering. Tanner Wright followed with a two-yard touchdown run, giving the Warriors a 21-0 lead at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southwestern outgained North Laurel, 179-11, in total yardage during the first half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright\u2019s second touchdown of the game, a three-yarder with 3:24 left in the third quarter pushed his team\u2019s advantage to 28-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tucker Warren\u2019s 19-yard touchdown pass cut North Laurel\u2019s deficit to 28-7 with 8:46 left in the fourth quarter but the damage had already been done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
