David Halcomb\u2019s Whitley County Lady Colonels moved one step closer to their first-ever 50th District Tournament championship by defeating South Laurel (5-11) in three sets during semifinal action on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Colonels (20-14) wasted little time in picking up the victory, winning all three sets 25-15, 25-21, and 25-22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whitley County will now advance to Tuesday\u2019s 50th District championship against Corbin. The two teams have met three times this season with the Lady Redhounds coming away with three victories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin advanced to the finals by picking up an earlier, 3-0, win on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
