The Jaguars were leading 21-12 with 6:34 remaining in the third quarter when spectators from both sides entered the playing field after players had to be separated close to North Laurel\u2019s sideline after Wayne County\u2019s kickoff return. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident prompted officials to halt the contest, which was ultimately declared a no contest before the third quarter could be completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe played a good, physical game for about three quarters,\u201d North Laurel coach Steven Nelson said. \u201cDisappointed in the way it ended and the way both teams didn\u2019t get to finish the game. We have to do better on our end keeping emotions in check and playing the game the right way. Put it behind us and get ready for the playoffs. Go Jags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Laurel finishes regular-season play with a 4-5 record and will now turn its attention to postseason action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
