Freshman Cooper Parman turned in another dominant outing on the mound, striking out 12 over five no-hit innings while allowing just two walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cProud of our guys for coming out and taking care of business,\u201d Whitley County coach Jeremy Shope said. \u201cCooper Parman completely knocked the bats out of their hands. We were able to put pressure on them on the bases. We look forward to the opportunity to play for a district championship tomorrow. Most importantly, we punched a ticket to the 13th Region tournament. Go Colonels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whitley County\u2019s offense wasted little time getting started, scoring two runs in the first inning before erupting for four runs in both the second and third innings. The Colonels added three more runs in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Landen Rose led the offensive attack, scoring three runs while blasting a home run and driving in another run. Ethan Allen also scored three times, finishing with a hit, RBI and two walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kip Allen collected two hits and drove in a run while Parman helped his own cause with a double and RBI. Clint Partin added a double, RBI and run scored while Caden Mountjoy doubled and drove in a run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spencer Bargo doubled and added an RBI, Luke Hillard drove in a run, and Caleb Cureton picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
