LONDON \u2014 North Laurel captured its 13th Region-best 15th win on Tuesday, but it wasn\u2019t easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Jaguars escaped their matchup with Clay County by pulling off a 3-2 win while capturing their second win in as many days over the Lady Tigers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReally difficult game tonight and we are lucky to have escaped with a win,\u201d North Laurel coach Chris Edwards said. \u201cClay County is so much better than their record reflects. They are going to be very difficult when the post season comes around. Only six hits tonight and no one with more than one. Clay\u2019s pitcher threw a really good game and they caught everything. We also caught everything and this game had a post season feel to it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caylee Singleton turned in a stellar effort in the pitcher\u2019s circle which played a big role in North Laurel\u2019s win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCaylee Singleton threw a really good game tonight,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cScattered six hits and a couple of runs. Her defense really played well tonight too. She really kept us in a position to win the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs always our first goal of the season is to get the No. 1 seed in the district tournament,\u201d he added. \u201cOur seed game with Clay was last night and we survived that and then our next one is Monday. That\u2019s where our focus is now. Good start to our District schedule. Go Jags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
