Pulaski County broke the game open with a five-run third inning and held on late to defeat the Panthers, 7-3, on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ramsey led the Panthers (7-6) at the plate, finishing 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI while Powenski added a 1-for-2 effort with an RBI and a run scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hayden Melton, Jonathan Hobbs, Trevor Smith, and Jathan Collins each recorded a hit as Knox Central totaled six hits during the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smith got the start, going five innings while allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits with five walks and one strikeout. Zach Carroll worked two innings in relief, allowing one run on one hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pulaski County took control in the third inning, turning a scoreless game into a 5-0 lead. Knox Central answered in the fourth inning, scoring three runs to cut the deficit to 5-3, but that would be as close as the Panthers would get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
