Allen was dominant, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out six. He was backed by Trey Walton and Eli Powers, who combined to finish off the three-hit shutout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur pitching was really good tonight,\u201d Whitley County coach Jeremy Shope said. \u201cEJ gave up one hit through four innings. Trey and Eli came in and also threw well. We left too many guys on base. We did hit some balls hard that were outs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hillard had two hits and scored twice to help power the Colonels\u2019 offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whitley County (3-0) broke things open early, scoring three runs in the second inning and five more in the third to take full control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Colonels finished with nine runs on five hits, taking advantage of 11 walks and three Bell County miscues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kip Allen scored three times while Ty Petrey scored two runs. Dee Parker added a hit and an RBI while scoring once. Caden Mountjoy drove in two runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
