CORBIN \u2014 Hunter Todd turned in a complete-game performance on the mound Saturday, leading Corbin to a 5-2 win over Franklin County and keeping the Redhounds unbeaten on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todd was steady from start to finish, tossing all seven innings while allowing just four hits and two runs. He struck out four and walked one, needing 81 pitches to secure the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHunter Todd pitched great today, really proud of him,\u201d Corbin coach Cody Philpot said. \u201cOffensively, it took more of a team effort today. They didn\u2019t give us much, so we had several contribute in different ways. Still several things that we have to get better at but I\u2019m proud of how the guys have battled through this first week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin (3-0) wasted no time taking control, scoring three runs in the first inning to grab early momentum. The Redhounds added two more runs in the fifth to provide key insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trey Person led the offense with a big day at the plate, driving in three runs while Jaden Broughton added an RBI. Clay Botner reached base multiple times and scored a run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levi Brock and Landon Walters each chipped in with a hit, as Corbin finished with six hits in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
