The Generals (1-1) bounced back after falling behind early, responding with runs in the second and fourth innings before putting the game away in the ninth with three runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cElijah Thomas got the start and pitched really well,\u201d Jackson County coach Jacob Bowling said. \u201cDavon Seals with the win in a fantastic relief outing. Jamison Roark was able to come in and close the door in the bottom of the ninth for his first save of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt the plate, we battled from the start to finish,\u201d he added. \u201cWe were able to mount a rally against one of the best pitchers in the 14th region in the top half of the ninth. Jamison Roark executed a perfect safety squeeze bunt for an RBI. Jackson (Newt) Lakes came up big with two hits and two RBI. Dylan Gay was HBP with the bases loaded to bring in the winning run in the top half of the 9th. Davon Seals came up with a clutch two-out, two-run single in the ninth to push the lead to three headed to the bottom half.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jackson County finished with nine hits, led by Elijah Thomas, who went 2-for-4 and scored a run. Dylan Gay added a hit, scored twice, and drove in a run, while Davin Seals and Jackson Lakes each recorded two RBI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tansen Truett and Michael Sparks each contributed a hit, helping the Generals maintain consistent pressure at the plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the mound, Thomas got the start and struck out seven over four innings, allowing just two runs. Seals worked 4.2 innings in relief, giving up only one run while earning the win, and Jameson Roark closed things out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
