MANCHESTER \u2014 Isaac Wilson\u2019s Corbin Lady Redhounds needed a win, and they got it on Friday, defeating Clay County, 54-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wilson\u2019s squad snapped a two-game losing skid while improving to 11-8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHappy for our kids tonight,\u201d he said. \u201cIt feels good to get back on track. We have been going through a rough stretch of basketball and I\u2019m happy for my kids as they have continued to grind and show up each day with the right mentality to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have mentioned to them that every team goes through trials, but it\u2019s all about how you respond to those trials in what type of basketball team you really have,\u201d Wilson added. \u201cI\u2019m happy to see our basketball team get up off the mat if you will and put together a great game tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aubree Clemens led Corbin with 16 points while Kalley Stewart had 14 points, and Lydia King finished with 13 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe must build off of tonight\u2018s momentum as we are nearing the final stretch before postseason play,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cI really believe in this basketball team and we have a great group of individuals. If we continue to show the same fight that we had tonight, I like our chances for being right there at the end of this year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maci White, and Lauryn Sizemore both led the Lady Tigers in scoring with seven points apiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
