Knox Central controlled the early tempo, taking an 11\u20139 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 27\u201320 at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corbin responded in the third quarter, chipping away at its deficit and tying the game at 43 apiece heading into the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Redhounds took control in the fourth quarter behind Trey Person, who scored 10 of his 14 points in the final period to fuel the comeback and seal the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKnox Central plays with a great level of physicality and toughness,\u201d Corbin coach Tony Pietrowski said. \u201cThey busted us in the first half and we didn\u2019t respond all that well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI felt like in the second half we were more poised,\u201d he added. \u201cWe got the ball in the correct places and a variety of guys made winning plays in crucial situations. Lucas (Brittain) showed some great leadership this evening. Eli scored it and rebounded it well. Trey continues to be a difference-maker for us. We have a big stretch of games ahead. Navigating this weather and keeping some sense of a routine is essential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eli Pietrowski led Corbin with 17 points while Person finished with 14 and Evan Ellis added 10 as the Redhounds found timely scoring down the stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
