Williamsburg set the tone early and maintained control throughout, leaning on balanced scoring and steady defense to pull away for the 16-point win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Braylee Evans led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 17 points, knocking down three three-pointers in the process. Abby Moses followed with 11 points while Marissa Meadors added six points as Williamsburg continued to get contributions across the lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Williamsburg coach Melissia Douglas was pleased with her team\u2019s effort, especially given the circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m really proud of how our ladies competed tonight,\u201d she said. \u201cAbby and Braylee continue to lead the way in scoring and set the tone for our offense. Marissa Meadors has been incredibly impressive \u2014 she\u2019s improved every game, played with great confidence, and was right on the edge of a double-double while shooting the ball with confidence. Bella and Tia are really stepping up and making meaningful contributions, and it\u2019s been great to see Maddie and Savannah Dabney earn more minutes and make big plays when their number is called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
