{"id":36490,"date":"2025-12-28T23:11:45","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T04:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.13thregionmedianetwork.com\/?p=36490"},"modified":"2025-12-28T23:11:45","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T04:11:45","slug":"jaguars-rally-past-bryan-station-advance-to-greer-maggard-holiday-classic-semifinals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.13thregionmedianetwork.com\/?p=36490","title":{"rendered":"Jaguars rally past Bryan Station, advance to Greer, Maggard Holiday Classic semifinals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LEXINGTON \u2014 North Laurel moved one step closer in capturing the White, Greer, Maggard Holiday Classic championship by slipping past No. 26 Bryan Station on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The state\u2019s 14th ranked team, rallied from a 42-36 third quarter deficit to advance to Monday\u2019s semifinals, defeating the Defenders, 55-52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Jaguars are now 3-1 against teams ranked in the top 30, and will face-off against No 6 Daviess County at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cVery happy for our guys tonight,\u201d North Laurel coach Nate Valentine said. \u201cWe made it ugly again but they grinded through it and found a way to make winning plays. We showed a lot of fight tonight in the second half.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">North Laurel trailed 16-9 after the first quarter, and 23-21 at halftime before Bryan Station increased its lead to 42-36 entering the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reece Davidson took over in the fourth quarter, scoring nine points while hitting all five free throws attempts. Kaiden Allen hit a key 3-pointer, and scored six points, helping the Jaguars outscore the Defenders, 19-10, in the finals eight minutes to grab the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Davidson led North Laurel with 22 points while Corey Cunagin added 11 points, and Cooper Elza scored nine points. Allen finished with six points.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
