MCKEE \u2014 The North Laurel Lady Jaguars volleyball team notched their spot in the 13th Region Tournament by upending Clay County (13-19) in three sets during semifinal action of Monday\u2019s 49th District Tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

North Laurel (8-13) took control in the first set, winning 25-19, while picking up a 25-21 win in the second set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Jaguars closed out the match with a 25\u201312 victory in the third set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe came out with a strong lead in set one with Lucy Jo Linville serving 10 straight,\u201d North Laurel coach Lauren Culver said. \u201cHannah Daniels was a large attacking presence tonight, while Makayla Clark defended the net with several blocks. The hustle in the back row was phenomenal, thanks to Baylee Asher, Morgan Preston, and Lucy Jo Linville. Mia Rodriguez\u2019s coverage kept us in the game several times tonight as well. I\u2019m proud of my girls and look forward to tomorrow night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win advances the Lady Jaguars to the finals of the 49th District Tournament on Tuesday. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
