LONDON \u2014 The South Laurel Lady Cardinals picked up a big crosstown rivalry win Tuesday night, sweeping North Laurel in straight sets, 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the victory, South Laurel improved to 6-11 on the season while the Lady Jaguars dropped to 4-8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was really proud of the way the girls played tonight,\u201d South Laurel coach Shelley Nunley said. \u201cThey came in motivated and focused, and they worked exceptionally hard to get the job done. A few of our hitters had a really big night, dominating at the net with some heavy swings and well-placed balls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis also may have been one of our best passing games, with our back row being a lot more mobile and talkative,\u201d she added. \u201cAcross the board in all the areas, we had a solid match that felt good to put in the books.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
