BARBOURVILLE \u2014 North Laurel and Knox Central hooked up in a five-set battle with the Lady Panthers pulling off a 26-24, 25-20, 21-25, 21-25, 15-12 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the loss, North Laurel coach Lauren Culver was pleased with her team\u2019s effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud of our team for hanging tight with Knox Central in the first two sets and for fighting back and winning sets three and four,\u201d she said. \u201cUltimately, we got caught with Knox Central in their toughest rotation. We have a team this year with several new faces to the varsity court, including Katie Keen, who came in clutch with some strong, consistent serves when we needed to close the point margin. Overall, the girls played very well tonight and I am excited for the future of this season and this program. Go Jags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
