The win turned out to be South Laurel\u2019s seventh in a row as they improved to 18-4 overall, and 5-0 against district opponents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was a big district win for us,\u201d South Laurel ouch Carly Mink said. \u201cOur goal early was to get the one seed. We have to continued to work everyday to get better and achieve that goal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Cardinals once again received another stellar effort at the plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Laurel scored two runs in the first inning while adding two more in the third inning. Mink\u2019s squad pushed across two more insurance runs last inning the game to secure the six-run win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Morgan Jackson finished with three hits while driving in two runs, and scoring once. Bailey Frazier set the table at the top of the order, turning in a perfect 3-for-3 effort while stealing three bases, and scoring twice. Williams had a hit and an RBI while Addison Baker finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Emmie Rice drove in a run in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOffensively, we\u2019re just trying to put together good at bats with good swings,\u201d Mink said. \u201cWe\u2019re getting production from different parts of the lineup every night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Williams improved to 14-3 while pushing her strikeout total to 154.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKenzie turned in another great performance allowing only one hit and one base runner to a very good hitting team,\u201d Mink said. \u201cDefensively, we played very good behind her tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Danni Foley delivered Corbin\u2019s lone hit while Apple Terrell took the loss in the pitcher\u2019s circle, pitching six innings while allowing 10 hits and four earned runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
