\u201cReally good game today from our girls,\u201d North Laurel coach Chris Edwards said. \u201cWe responded very well after a disappointing game yesterday. We had nine hits today, three home runs, a double and a triple. It\u2019s always nice when you have more extra base hits than singles. Multiple hits from Katie Sams, Emma Carl, Saige McClure, and Bella Sizemore. The top part of the order really seen the ball well today and done some damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA great pitching performance today from Tessa against a state tournament team from last season \u2014 four hits and only one run,\u201d he added. \u201cPitch count was good, too. We played very good defense as well. A couple of mistakes that didn\u2019t hurt us was all we had and really, we\u2019ve played good defense all season for the most part.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emma Carl had a huge game at the plate while Tessa Monhollen was dominant in the circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carl delivered two home runs and four RBI while scoring twice, and Monhollen tossed a complete game, allowing only four hits, and one earned run while striking out four batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Katie Sams also came up big at the plate two hits and two runs scored while Ellie Adams delivered a home run, and two RBI, and scored once. Bella Sizemore scored once and had two hits while Saige McClure delivered two hits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
