The Lady Yellow Jackets (0-2) led 8-1 after the first inning but couldn\u2019t hold on to the lead as Somerset Christian scored six runs in the third inning to tie the game at eight apiece and used a five-run seventh inning to take control of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kyli Monhollen threw really well tonight,\u201d Prewitt said. \u201cWe struggled to field it at times, that\u2019s what got us in the trouble that we had. We battled back every inning. We hit the ball a lot better tonight putting up 14 runs. You would think putting up 14 runs, that you would win some ball games, but you know, we\u2019re still young learning to field it learning the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was proud of my team and how we battled back, especially at the end, coming back in the bottom of the seventh down four runs,\u201d he added. \u201cWe had a chance at the end and just couldn\u2019t get them. But I\u2019m super proud of my team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Angel Stephens led Williamsburg with four hits, three RBI, and three runs scored while Megan Prewitt had three hits, three RBI, and two runs scored. Reighanna Wyatt delivered two hits, two RBI and one run scored while Brooklyn Taylor finished with three hits, one RBI, and two runs scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
