The Jaguars fought throughout the contest, and cut their deficit to one point before the Shamrocks pulled out the seven point win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis was a great opportunity for our team to play in front of a sold out crowd,\u201d North Laurel coach Nate Valentine said. \u201cWe got off to a great start and stalled out in the second quarter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur guys fought back to get it to one point late in the game but couldn\u2019t come up with the winning play we needed,\u201d he added. \u201cI hope this experience will help us as we approach tournament time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Laurel led 12-9 at the end of the first quarter behind a five-point scoring effort from Cooper Elza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trinity rallied in the second quarter, taking a 29-17 advantage into the locker room at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three-pointers from Jordan Rawlings and Reece Davidson cut the Jaguars\u2019 deficit to 36-28 entering the fourth quarter, but the Shamrocks held on to grab the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
