\u201cTough sting tonight in the fourth quarter,\u201d Douglas said. \u201cOur ladies played so well this evening. I had three to score in double digits and one that had nine. We definitely had a huge learning experience adjusting to having a starter out. I\u2019m so proud of the younger players stepping up and finding their role in tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur senior leadership can make a huge difference Hannah was back high on the board tonight with 21 points,\u201d she added. \u201cLorelei really made some huge plays offensively. This past week they have just been exceptional leaders on and off the court.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Yellow Jackets (6-10) led throughout the game, and looked like they were going to pick up the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Douglas\u2019 squad led 17-12 after the first quarter as Ellie Breeding scored five points during the period while Hannah Creekmore and Braylee Evans each added four points apiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creekmore added six more points in the second quarter while Breeding scored four points, helping Williamsburg take a 29-27 advantage into the locker room at halftime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Evans added five points in the third quarter while Creekmore dished out four points as the Lady Yellow Jackets led, 42-37, entering the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shelby County caught fire in the fourth quarter, hitting four 3-pointers while knocking down 7-of-8 free throw attempts to rally and pick up the four-point win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
