BEREA \u2014 Whitley County\u2019s suffered its second consecutive loss after falling to Madison Central, 94-65, Saturday\u2019s Bill Smallwood Classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colonels are now 12-5 on the season and have dropped consecutive double digit losses in two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood challenge for our guys,\u201d Whitley County coach Eric Swords said. \u201cWe competed hard. A lot of positive for our guys. We got to keep improving, these are the games that will help us grow as team. Excited to get back to district play next week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whitley County didn\u2019t have an answer for the Indians\u2019 Jake Feldhaus, who scored 26 points. The Colonels also had trouble containing Will Richardson and Luke Asher as both players scored 18 apiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whitley County hung tough in the first quarter, only trailing 24-17 before facing a 55-33 deficit at halftime. The Colonels were outscored, 39-32, in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riley Fuson led Whitley County with a game-high 31 points. He hit six 3s and went 7-of-10 from the free-throw line. Bryson Mahan also scored in double figures, finishing with 19 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
