Eddie Mahan\u2019s North Laurel Lady Jaguars improved to a program-best 12-0 after defeating Southwestern, 63-44, on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Jaguars had an 11-day layoff but still managed to build 21-9 lead in the first quarter while never looking back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was could to get to play again,\u201d Mahan said. \u201cAfter a week of cancellations and no make ups it\u2019s good to play. Southwestern is a good team and has been trending in the right direction. We knew we would have to get the rust off quickly. We did a good job in the first half and it was a defense setting the tone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Laurel\u2019s lead grew to 41-21 at halftime before a 10-3 run in the third quarter out the game out of reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
