South Laurel (4-1) has now held its opponents to at least 30 points twice this season and under 40 points three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood defensive effort once again,\u201d Windlan said. \u201cTheir leading scorer, Naomi Maynard, was held to four points in the first half and came in averaging 28.5 points per game. She ended with 14 points. We had some defensive mistakes on her in second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Cardinals dominated from the get-go, limiting the Lady Rams to only two points in the first quarter and six points in the first half while holding a 24-6 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Laurel extended its cushion to 37-19 entering the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eight players scored in the win for the Lady Cardinals as Maci Messer led the way with 10 points while Jamie Buenaventura and Callie Jones added seven points apiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
