Barbourville by no means is a pushover, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chris Taylor\u2019s squad is now 4-1 and winners of two straight since its loss to Oneida Baptist last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTough one for us tonight,\u201d Williamsburg coach Anthony Hibbard said. \u201cOur slow start finally caught up to us. Credit Coach Taylor and Barbourville. They came out with a lot of intensity and put together a really good first quarter. \u201cObviously, not the result we wanted, however we really like how we finished the game,\u201d he added. \u201cWe could have easily folded, but we fought back and made it a contest. Really proud of my guys for responding like that. I\u2019m excited to get back after it tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tigers took control of the matchup in the first quarter as Riley Corey scored eight of his 17 points to give his team a 20-4 lead. Barbourville held a 28-13 advantage at halftime before pulling away in the third quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taylor\u2019s squad led 53-32 entering the fourth quarter, and held off a late rally by Williamsburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tigers hit 16-of-23 free throw attempts while the Yellow Jackets were 29-of-40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
