Huff had the hot hand the entire game, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, nine in the second, 15 in the third and 11 in the fourth. He finished the game hitting 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite trailing 26-17 at the end of the first quarter, and 40-32 at halftime, the Redhounds never quit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corbin trailed 64-54 entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Black Bears, 33-27, during the game\u2019s final eight minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs expected, a little bit of rust in some areas due to lack of practice with our entire team, but overall I\u2019m optimistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI thought we showed a lot of grit and determination to come back from some fairly large deficits,\u201d he added. \u201cRyder (Akins) and Dawson (Farmer) showed why they should be considered two of the best freshman in the state. With a lot of hard work and some extended stretches of practice I think we will be a contender for some championships come seasons end.
