MANCHESTER \u2014 North Laurel punched its ticket into the 13th Region Tournament by eliminating defending 13th Region champion South Laurel on Monday with a 6-0 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win advances the Lady Jaguars (8-3) to Wednesday\u2019s 49th District championship game against the winner of Whitley County and Corbin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The loss ended the Lady Cardinals\u2019 season. They finished the 2024 campaign with a 5-8-1 mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Crouch scored three goals in the win for North Laurel while McKinley Mastin added two goals and Haley Combs scored one goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt took us a minute to find our footing but once we got settled in we played some really good soccer tonight,\u201d North Laurel coach Kayla Bargo said. \u201cWe moved the ball well, and defense played well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur defensive player of the game was Carleigh Feltner,\u201d she added. \u201cCarleigh played  a very solid game. Our three goal scorers came up big. Thankful for a chance to go for the championship on Wednesday.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship game is slated for a 6:30 p.m. start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
