PAINTSVILLE \u2014 Struggles on both sides of the ball led to North Laurel\u2019s 42-0 loss to Johnson Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars fell behind 21-0 in the first half and never recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe came out really flat and let that week off of practice get us out of rhythm,\u201d North Laurel coach Steven Nelson said. \u201cHats off to Johnson Central, they came out ready to play and execute and were more physical than us off the ball. We know that we are capable of playing much better football and being a more physical team than what we showed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have to do a better job getting our team ready to execute and do our jobs to be a better all around football team,\u201d he added. \u201cThis is a learning experience for our guys and they need to look in the mirror and realize we must be better as a football team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After starting the season with wins over Bell County and Whitley County, North Laurel (2-2) has now lost two straight, including a 42-7 loss two Franklin County on Sept. 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars have been outscored 84-7 during their past two games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ll attempt to right the ship Friday at home in a key district matchup with Southwestern. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
