WILLIAMSBURG \u2014 Williamsburg won the first half while Clay County dominated the second half, leading to the Tigers\u2019 27-18 road victory over the Yellow Jackets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay County is now 3-0 after defeating Pineville, Harlan and Williamsburg to begin the season while the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tigers took an early 7-0 lead thanks to a touchdown reception by Trenton Reid but Williamsburg answered with a touchdown run by Nate Goodin to cut the Yellow Jackets\u2019 deficit to 7-6 with 10:36 remaining in the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodin added his second rushing touchdown of the game to give his team a 12-7 edge with 5:63 remaining in the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An interception by Landon Lowery allowed Williamsburg to add to its lead as Goodin found the end zone with a minute remaining, increasing the Yellow Jackets\u2019 lead to 18-7 at halftime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tigers made many halftime adjustments and started to chip away at Williamsburg\u2019s lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A touchdown run by Aiden Carr made the score, 18-13, just minutes into the third quarter while Carr\u2019s 65-yard touchdown run with 9:34 left in the quarter gave Clay County the lead for good at 21-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A touchdown with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter sealed the Tigers win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
