{"id":25966,"date":"2024-08-31T20:28:18","date_gmt":"2024-09-01T00:28:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.13thregionmedianetwork.com\/?p=25966"},"modified":"2024-08-31T20:37:10","modified_gmt":"2024-09-01T00:37:10","slug":"unbeaten-lady-redhounds-capture-class-2a-section-7-championship-with-win-over-whitley-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.13thregionmedianetwork.com\/?p=25966","title":{"rendered":"Unbeaten Lady Redhounds capture Class 2A, Section 7 championship with win over Whitley County&nbsp;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>STEARNS \u2014 The Corbin Lady Redhounds are now 8-0 and Class 2A, Section 7 champions after unseating defending 13th Region champion Whitley County in the title game in straight sets, winning, 2-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lady Redhounds ran the table during Saturday\u2019s tournament, defeating Bell County, 2-0, and Knox Central, 2-0, before rolling past the Lady Colonels, who fell to 6-1 after posting a 2-1 tournament record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe came in today and took care of business,\u201d Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. \u201cAny time you bring home a trophy, it\u2019s a good day, but in our eyes, the job is only halfway done. We started with a lot of energy this morning and were able to maintain that level of intensity for three games, and six sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt feels like everything we\u2019ve been working on this summer is starting to click for the girls,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s been so exciting to watch them improve night after night. There is no ceiling for this team. I can\u2019t make a statement without thanking the coaches, parents, fans, and all of our girls. Without their energy, effort, and support, none of this would be possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to celebrate this championship this weekend, and then it\u2019s back to work for two tough region games next week,\u201d Jones continued. \u201cAs always, it\u2019s a great day to be a Redhound.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corbin\u2019s all tournament team members were: Caroline Combs, Reese
