CORBIN \u2014 For the second time this week, Roger Taylor\u2019s Corbin Redhounds handed Whitley County a loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game on Monday was for the Class 2A, Section 7 championship with the Redhounds pulling out a win in a shoot out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time around, Corbin won in regulation, defeating the Colonels 2-0 on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Redhounds built a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Jeffrey Morton (assist by JP Carmichael) and Carmichael, and never looked back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin is now 3-5 overall and in 49th District games while the Colonels fall to 3-4 and 0-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought we played some of the best soccer I\u2019ve seen in two years tonight,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cThe midfield controlled the ball well, our center backs were dominant, and JP was really dangerous up front.  Excited to see things coming together before a midseason break.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
