JELLICO, TENN. \u2014 A strong defensive effort play a big role in Williamsburg\u2019s 3-0 win over Jellico, Tenn. on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Yellow Jackets improved to 2-0 thanks to a 25-14, 25-22, and 25-11 victory over the Lady Blue Devils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTonight our team played with a lot of effort defensively,\u201d Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. \u201cOur serve-receive continues to be a strength. The girls have worked really hard on this I\u2019m happy to see those efforts paying off. We need to sustain our energy and enthusiasm consistently through the entirety of the match. \u201cI\u2019m excited for Saturday and our All \u201cA\u201d Invitational Tournament,\u201d he added. \u201cLooking forward to some great competition and the opportunity to win a championship trophy.
