The game was tied at two apiece until the Lady Redhounds broke through with a three-run fifth inning to secure the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWow what a game,\u201d Stidham said. \u201cOur district always has a barn burner when the No. 2 seed is taking on the No. three seed. Records don\u2019t matter at this point, it\u2019s win to proceed. Coach (Angela) Singleton has a great team and Caylee Singleton pitched a heck of a game \u2014 had my hitters off-balanced, and we had to create and make things happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe were able to get some momentum when Danni Foley and Morgan Hicks connected and Raegan Walker got a hit, scoring a run to put us up one,\u201d she added. \u201cBailey Stewart came up and hit a line drive to pull first base off the bag, allowing her to get a single and scored two on that hit putting us up 5-2. Those hits were the momentum we needed. Anela Sanders also picked up a hit along with Kallie Housley.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stidham was super-excited with the pitching effort Housley turned in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have to hand it to our Kallie Housley she was on fire in the circle,\u201d she said. \u201cShe went all seven innings, striking out 12 and had her defense come up with a couple big double plays at the right times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m just so proud of my team,\u201d Stidham added. \u201cIt\u2019s the postseason and great games happen now, everyone is bringing their best, and I\u2019m just so very proud of everyone. Our entire team has earned this, their resilience this season and how hard they work for one another. Let\u2019s keep this momentum going. Let\u2019s Go Lady Redhounds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
