The Redhounds battled Madison Southern throughout Thursday before finally pulling off an 11-9 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corbin will enter postseason play with a 25-10 mark next week when the Redhounds face-off against South Laurel during semifinal action of the 50th District Tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe battled and found a way to win,\u201d Coebin coach Cody Philpot said. \u201cThis group has grinded out a good regular season but we turned the page tonight and are 0-0. I love this group and am excited to get the postseason started.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Redhounds trailed 3-1 entering the fourth inning before pushing across six runs to take a 7-3 edge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lead was short-lived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Madison Southern answered with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to reclaim an 8-7 advantage. Not to be outdone, Corbin responded with two runs in the sixth inning and two runs in the seventh inning to secure the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four players finished with at least multiple hits for the Redhounds. Kade Elam and Cam Estep finished with two hits, an RBI, and two runs scored apiece. Walker Landrum delivered two hits and an RBI while Lucas Tarvin was 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Noah Cima delivered a hit, two RBI and scored once while Jeremiah Gilbert finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Bradric Helton had a hit and three RBI while Trey Person finished with a run scored. Cooper McCauley finished with an RBI and a run scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
