LONDON \u2014 The Corbin Middle School Lady Redhounds volleyball team capped off an impressive season by capturing the 2024 Conference Championship this past weekend.
Corbin finished with an undefeated conference record for the season as Annabelle Griffin captured MVP honors while Elin Curry was named to the All Tournament Team.
\u201cI am so incredibly proud of these girls,\u201d Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. \u201cTo say that they have come a long way in the past two years is an understatement. It was the ultimate privilege for Coach Nikki and I to have been given the opportunity to coach them this season. They are a very special group of athletes that fought hard and refused to settle for being just good enough. I have no doubt that they are going to continue doing special things in the seasons ahead.
\u201cNow that our middle school season has ended on the highest note, I am looking forward to moving into the head coach position for our high school program this summer,\u201d she added, \u201cWe are going to work hard and carry this determination and effort into high school ball. The future is bright for Corbin Redhound Volleyball. Go Hounds!\u201d
Jones\u2019 JV squad also finished 20-2 while the sixth grade turned in a 19-3 record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
