Pitcher Tessa Monhollen continues to impress in the pitcher\u2019s circle, allowing only two hits while striking out six batters in five innings of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saige McClure came up huge at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, and one run scored while Katie Sams had two hits, an RBI, and three runs scored. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnother good game for our girls tonight,\u201d North Laurel coach Chris Edwards said. \u201cTessa started the game and went the distance only going up one hit. She continues to work hard and the results are starting to show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bella Sizemore finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored while Braylee Fawbush had two hits and an RBI. Katie Keen delivered a hit, three RBI, and scored once. Ellie Adams and Emma Carl had a hit, an RBI, and a run scored apiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOffensively, we had a bunch of hits in the first four innings but we could not string them together,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cCredit for that goes to the Wayne County pitcher and their defense. She kept us off balance early on before we were able to time her up. They also made a couple of nice defensive plays that kept us from scoring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
