LONDON \u2014 South Laurel\u2019s bounced back from a loss to Pulaski County by defeating Harlan County on Friday, 12-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Carly Mink received an all-around performance, receiving timely hits while pitchers Morgan Jackson and Audrey Likins excelled in the pitcher\u2019s circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Cardinals (7-3) paved the way to the 10-run victory by scoring five runs in the first inning. They led 9-0 before the Lady Black Bears scored their first run in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kenzie Williams went 4-for-4 at the plate while scoring four times while Emmie Rice collected two hits, drove in three runs and scored once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackson picked up the win, lasting three innings while allowing no hits and one earned run. She struck out two batters. Likins tossed three innings, giving up two hits, and no earned runs while striking out five batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was a good way to bounce back tonight after a tough loss last night, proud of how we bounced back,\u201d Mink said. \u201cWe focused a lot on pitching depth in the off season, and it\u2019s huge to be able to rely on them to compete and give us a chance to win games. We continue to focus on having competitive at bats, and starting to get some production all the way throughout the lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amara Horn finished with two hits, three RBI and one run scored while Bailey Frazier finished with a hit and an RBI. Ryleigh Bretz had a hit and two RBI while Skye Lawson drove in a run. Addison Baker scored twice and finished with a hit while Jackson had a hit and scored once. Likins also scored a run. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
